After a remarkable seven-year journey, Bollywood stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have finally tied the knot! The couple’s commitment and love, evident in their beautiful wedding photos shared on social media, have quickly made headlines and brought joy to their fans worldwide.
The wedding was a simple civil ceremony held in Mumbai under the Special Marriage Act. The photos show Zaheer signing the wedding documents, with Sonakshi standing beside her father, veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha. Both families were present, expressing their joy and support for the newlyweds.
Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, a businessman, had previously shared that the wedding would not follow Hindu or Muslim rituals. Instead, it would be a civil marriage, celebrating their union without religious constraints. “Sonakshi is not converting,” Iqbal Ratansi stated, emphasizing the couple’s belief in humanity over religion. “It’s a union of hearts. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims, but we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”

The couple took to Instagram to share their joy and give fans a glimpse into their special day. Dressed in matching ivory outfits, Sonakshi and Zaheer looked radiant. Sonakshi and Zaheer’s love story began precisely seven years ago, on June 23, 2017, when they first realized their feelings for each other. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the couple reminisced about that day and expressed gratitude for the journey that brought them to this moment.
“On this day, seven years back, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs leading up to this moment, where with the blessings of both our families and our gods, we are now man and wife,” they wrote.
